Changing the Negative Perspective of Degree and Masters Graduates



In our society, there is a misconception that vocational education (VETA) is only for those who did not qualify for higher education. This has led some degree and master's graduates to overlook the benefits of vocational education and training. The truth is that vocational education plays a significant role in economic development, employment, and entrepreneurship in Tanzania.

Benefits of Vocational Education and Training for Degree and Masters Graduates



1. Enhancing Practical Skills

University education is often theoretical, while VETA provides practical skills needed in the job market. Degree and master's graduates can benefit by acquiring hands-on skills in areas such as electrical work, IT, carpentry, and construction.

2. Facilitating Self-Employment

Many university graduates struggle to find jobs due to high competition. Vocational training provides direct skills for self-employment, such as auto mechanics, tailoring, and electronics repair, reducing dependency on government and private sector jobs.

3. Increase Awareness
